Gansevoort St, New York_New York
MEANDERING around the maze of the Meatpacking District shit gets cray. The Grid Plan of upper Manhattan rapidly breaks down into slashing avenues and lanes. This corner of town has long been a gentrified destination of the new New York City, but it’s still a fun place to wander and see what there is to see. We ran into Bryan while he waited for his friend to get off work at The Whitney Museum of American Art.

“WHAT’S YOUR CONCEPT OF THE GOOD LIFE?”
“The good life is simply doing what makes you feel good inside and not worrying about what other people will think. Nowadays everyone is out of touch with their emotions, and doing what makes you feel good in the pit of your stomach is what brings happiness.”

IF you find yourself exploring the popular haunts in the Meatpacking do yourself a favor and walk the couple blocks to the Hudson River. The sunsets are spectacular, especially on these long, hot summer nights. If you’re discreet you can totally bring a bottle of your favorite chillin’ booze, and it’s a really nice respite from the concrete jungle madness.
