Windandsea, San Diego_California.
WE met Michael down by the Windandsea shack on a cloudy June Gloom day along southern California’s riviera. The shore line north of San Diego is a spectacular landscape to stroll. Smooth, rock outcroppings jut into the Pacific, giving the view a dramatic flair. Even on these cloudy, early summer days we love to walk, jog or cruise the winding coast. Michael was finishing up a session at the iconic surf break when we asked him about what makes the Good Life.

WHAT’S YOUR CONCEPT OF THE GOOD LIFE?
“Staying humble and thankful. Keeping happy, being with family…enjoying the simple things. It’s really tough to answer that question when you’re put on the spot.”
SURROUNDED by million dollar real estate, Windansea has retained it’s authenticity gained from decades of surf history. The sturdy wave isn’t long, but it breaks like an arrowhead, and on good days it provides a reliable, long ride. The precious space in the lineup is firmly regulated by locals, but the rocky cliffs and iconic palm shack make it a photogenic spot to watch the surf roll in or enjoy the epic sunsets.
